When we opened Laila's Kitchen in downtown Hagerstown back in 2007, our hope was to bring our family's traditional Afghan cuisine to a neighborhood that was craving culinary diversity. In doing so, we wanted to keep the setting casual, comfortable and friendly, as if you were invited to dinner in our own home. We wanted to make delicious home-cooking using the freshest and healthiest ingredients possible, but at affordable prices. And we wanted to create the type of establishment that we would want to take our own family to and that we could be proud of.
